i was just wondering if anyone knew about sentence reductions. i know that they are a rare thing. but i hope someone has any kind of info on them. please let me know. if not, who should i talk to about sentence reductions.

Terri, they vary depending on the system you are dealing with. Are you in the TDCJ system or the Feds?

As far as I know the only way to have a sentence reduced is to go through the appeals process. Prison admin can't reduce your sentence, they can only reduce the amount of time you serve on that sentence i.e. good time/work time, half way houses, etc. but, to have the sentence reduced I believe it actually takes a judge to do that.

LORDY LORDY, I SURE WISH THERE WERE SUCH... I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MANY APPEALS FOR A REDUCTION OF SENTENCE THAT IT'S UNREAL.... IT'S EXPENSIVE AND JUST DOES NOT WORK.... OUR LAST RESORT IS A WRIT OF HABEUS CORPUS.... MAYBE..
