I must say they have some really nice guys working at SCI Mahanoy in Pennsylvania. I went to visit Var and of course I want to sign in so they can call him down ASAP even before I pee:D. Well I was like, "cool, there's only two people ahead of me" ...of course they were having issues. Then I listened and it turned out they could barely speak english, didn't know how to spell the last name of the guy that they wanted to visit and didn't know his number. The guards were really cool about it and the went through the whole list of possible matches on the computer and on the hard copy. I tried to help them out and it just looked hopeless for a minute. So then I said "don't you have anybody here that speaks spanish?". They only had ONE person come to mind (I guess they had to be staff) and he wasn't there. Then one of them got on the phone and called down to get someone, it turned out they did have somebody there who spoke spanish. It turned out they were at the wrong prision. They looked up the guys number and gave them directions to the right place. It was all done with a sense of humor and they were totally nice about it. I have to say these are decent guys. If Var has to be locked up I'm glad it's there.
