Hello all,

My man was transferred early! He was supposed to be in Durango until December 3rd or longer, but they sent him to the DOC on Friday! He's in the processing center at Alhambra. Does anyone know anything about that place? When will he be able to call me? Write me? How long until he is placed somewhere? He has a court date in Mesa on December 10th. Will they bring him there?

Thanks for you help!

Much love ~ Heather

When he is at Alhambra all he can do is write,no calls or vistis. Processing takes any where from 7-30 days depending on his crime and which prison he is going to. You can write him as well just call for the address. Its a rough time but once this is over then you can see him again. Best of luck and hang in there you are not alone!!!

Thanks Anne!

He's an aggravated DUI guy. I called Alhambra and they told me that I'm not allowed to mail to him because he will only be there from 1 week-10 days more or less. I keep checking the Datasearch to make sure he isn't getting into trouble and to see if he's moved. I just wish he knew that I was ok, he worries about me more than he does about himself in there. He's not the type to think to ask if he can send mail out either, maybe he'll surprise me though, but I'll probably be waiting for a while to hear from him.

Geez. Thanks for your help. Happy Thanksgiving!! I'm spending it with his family since I have none of my own. It should be happy and sad all at once ya know.

although most people are sent within 30 days, sometimes it may take longer, if so, then you are allowed to visit. (thats rare though) once he does get to a yard, then he has to send you the visitation forms, mail them in as quickly as you can, cuz it can take up to 6 weeks for them to process. but when (if?) you are approved then you can visit, and he can call. they even have to approve you to recieve calls! but hopefully youll be approved and all will go fine. remeber be honest on the paper, they find out if your not. good luck
