OK well I'm on probation for DWI and I know they will have me give UA's but my question is this...I havent smoked any weed for about 4 weeks and then it was just a couple hits but my buddy I ride to work with always tokes up in the car. Will the secondhand smoke show up in a UA? Will my PO just laugh at me if I say it is secondhand smoke or will I get violated just for being around pot.

Very possible that it will show up in your ua. How are you going to explain that? That's a hard one, but just tell the truth, no matter what, just tell the truth. You may get violated for it if your PO is a hard a*#. You know what I mean? Or your PO may say treatment or jail. I work in a residential treatment center and I give and test ua's. It's highly unlikly that your PO will believe the second hand smoke story. Your PO has probably heard that one too many times.

Takes about 30-35 days for a chronic smoker (smoke every day for a a few weeks or more) to get a clean test. No you can't test hot with second hand THC through the air (not with the average senerio) perhaps in the most extreme cicumstances some researches are saying you can. Check out www.marijuana.com. I would not tell your PO your hot because your co workers smoke on the way to work. I think I here that 15 times a month and 15 times a month I get 15 confessions that THEY smoked themselves. If you think you are certain to test hot I'd suggest being straight up with your PO BEFORE the test! most PO's look at an admission AFTER a test as meaningless.
