i ma looking f r info on work release. anyone have experiance with it?
my brother has been in hamilton work camp for 5 months. he has been on a work squa and now transfered to a "free world" job with waste management.
he is dying to get into a work release program, he has 7 months left of his sentence.
when do thye usually give the inmates the opportunity?

also, does anyone know about daytona work rlelease jobs?

i have read on fla.doc site, they are elgibile for work release at 12 months remaining on sentence, if you go to that site it has the info about work release, i read it the other day and it was 12 months, hope this helps

On the doc site it states that if they are under the 85% law, the must have 7 months or less to go.The 12 months are for people that are not under 85%. They have to request to be sent to work release and the site they want to be at. It is never 100% that they get the one they want. But usually it is pretty close.....Good luck!!!

Does anyone know how the Work release works? My man should be transferred in the next week or two. If I send him some money now, will they transfer it with him when he leaves for Work Release?

Well, this is it. He's finally been moved yesterday. I am so excited. This is finally the countdown. He should be in Kissimmee by this weekend.

First stop was Lake Butler, then I guess CFRC.
