The Lord pressed this poem out of me, and I do mean pressed through two solid hours of weaping, just a few months after I gave my life to Him. It's to be shared with all of His little girls. Hope it is a blessing to you!
My Father’s Little Girl
Some refer to me as woman
But I am my Father’s little girl
His loving child, who holds His hand
His precious gem, His beautiful pearl!
I feel so small in His presence
So unknowing in all of His ways
I ask of my loving Father
“Can I walk with You all of my days?”
He says, “I’ll never let you go!
You’re my daughter, the joy of my heart.
When you get too tired, I’ll carry you
Stay with Me, nevermore to depart.”
He comforts me when I’m in pain
My Daddy, the one I love so much
He lifts me up into His lap
And restores me with His tender touch
He rocks me off to sleep at night
Tucks me into my bed with a kiss
Tells me a story of heaven
Something I know I don’t want to miss
It sounds like an ice cream sundae
I look forward to such a sweet treat
Pearls for the gates and gems everywhere
With paving of gold for the street
I love my Father so dearly
Gives me so many beautiful things
Do I really have to grow up?
Can’t I stay in my little white wings?
I put my tiny hand in His
And look up to my Father and say,
“I now know how much You love me
You give light to me every day!”
Some refer to me as woman
But I am my Father’s little girl
His loving child, who holds His hand
His precious gem, His beautiful pearl!
Inspired by God the Father, Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord and the Holy Spirit
