Hello happy first day of july. So how many of you are heading to Corcoran and how many of you are doing the family thing?

As for me well i won't be going to Corcoran but I will be doing the family thing. I will be spending the day with my 2 year old. :)

I got a letter today, and my hubby said that on C yard visiting they will be doubling up people on the tables instead of just kicking people out. Good news!

So hopefully we'll get longer visits.

Happy 4th to everyone...Hopefully I will b seeing hubby for the holiday if not...well just have a relaxed day getting ready for working on the weekend......Everyone be safe and have fun in whatever u do...

Will not be going up this Friday----though this is my usual day to go. Due to the holiday the visiting hours are 7:30 am until 3:30 pm, which is way different from the usual Fri hours. Would have to get up really early, and would probably be terminated. Also, Fridays are usually reserved for disciplinary free inmates, but this Friday---as it is a holiday, all inmates are able to receive visits......so I'm thinkin it will be packed.

Have I whined enough?

I have never been in the visiting room where they double up as an option. Do they do this on all yards, or just some?

On line classes are the business if you are good enough to do your thing without having anyone there to make you do it---------other than you being the boss of you.

I got my Masters degree online-------it's still my Masters. Didn't get it out of a crackerjack box and didn't buy it off the internet. So, don't discount on-line education for it still is what it is. I would have liked to get out and mingle with people, but there is no way I would have been able to further my education if I had to leave my home to do it. (Kids and schedule.)

I wish that the left hand would know what the right hand was doing at Corcoran. They even made a big announcement about the changed Friday hours due to the holiday. They also said how it would be xtra busy because even disciplinary inmates would be allowd to have visits due to the holiday status. Even made some dumb military time flyer.....and now the visiting hours are said to be back to normal hours?

I do want to go but I don't want a busy day to mean possible termination.....which is why I do Friday's in the first place. (Not busy).

You ARE so funny........ so, what should you do? Well, I'm going with what the recorded announcement is saying..... it was so specific to mention/remind about the hours for the 4th. I honestly thought exactly what you said here, but I do want to chance it. Yes, I would be pissed if it got changed, but I will double/triple check on Friday morning..... I say GO! P.S. I don't think it will be crowded. I went before on the 4th and it wasn't crowded at all........but who knows!!!

Ant's - I don't know if they're going to double up the tables on your yard, or if it's just C yard. It would be my guess that they'd do it for all the yards.

Sanchez - It will be loud, but you're right. It's loud already. A few more people won't hurt, and hopefully we'll get to stay longer. At this point I'd be happy with anything.

Javies - I think this will be the first weekend that they're going to double up the tables. They did this at Calipatria when we were there. They'd put 2 couples at 1 table. It was nice because I didn't have to worry about being terminated, but it was also annoying because my husband would start talking to the other inmate.
You're right, last 4th of July was kicked back around there, but it was also during the middle of the week. I think it's gonna be busy this time since it's a 3 day weekend.

I'll have to see. I already made it up in my mind that I wasn't going and so I'll have to battle my own headspace. When you went on the 4th, were you in our normal room becasue two 4th's ago it was so bad that I refused to go the last year. (Wasn't a Friday, though.

I can always call up there and have some live person address the conflicting data and wee what the final outcome is.

Going the 11th for sure. This is what the headspace has planned.

Sorry I got everyone's hopes up, but the double up on the tables didn't happen this weekend. My husband said the MAC reps had talked to the warden about it, and the warden has agreed to it, but didn't sign the paperwork yet.

My rental car was in the corcoran visitor parking lot, minding it's own business when someone deliberately made a big old dent in it. How do I know it was deliberate? It wasn't a dent low on the car like something a car door would make. It was a softball sized dent above the rear drivers-side door. I'm fairly certain the dent wasn't trying to be a jerk to me directly, just a random act of strange rage at something. What would someone be mad about enough to whack someone's rental car? They don't like Mazda's? (Darn those foreign cars!) They don't like Enterprise rental cars? (Darn those fees they tack on!) They hate NV license plates? (Lost all my money in sin city!) They hated the old Pearl Jam cd I had in the passenger seat? (Grunge is so over!)

So now not only do we have to jump through crazy hoops to visit, now we have to worry about some weenie denting our cars when we visit. I don't know if it was another visitor or a staff member, and I'll never know. I asked, and they don't have cameras in the parking lot. They have them everywhere else, but not the parking lot.

ANTS - What school did you get the degree from??????????????

I hope she got the rental insurance, but also many personal auto insurance policies will cover you if you are in a rental. Mine does - and I know many do, so poodlegirl - call your insurance agent and ask if your personal insurance on your car covers you when you drive a rental.

Hope it all works out.

I was an auto adjuster for an insurance company for a few years - your personal auto insurance SHOULD follow you, and cover any vehicle you drive, including rental. The only advantage to purchasing the rental insurance is that if something like this does happen - and let's say your deductible is $500. It covers you 100%, otherwise you will still owe your deductible...just FYI.

I didn't get the rental insurance, cuz it's $10 a day, and it adds up. But I'm going to start getting the insurance just in case something like this happens again. I actually don't have a car anymore - I drive my step dad's car since he doesn't drive much, so I don't have auto insurance in my name.

I stopped by my dad's house on my drive home yesterday. His hobby is restoring old cars, so he worked on the dent, and was able to get it down to about the size of an egg. (He couldn't pop the whole dent out because of the pesky side airbags.) The rental car place doesn't mind small dents, so I was lucky and didn't have to pay. I'll definately go with the insurance from here on out.

Click on the User CP that is located on the upper left, next to calendar. And scroll down on your left Under Users Control Panel......go to Edit Users Signature. And if you want to put like a pic from or what I have, like from myhotcomments dot com, you just "COPY" the picture, don't copy the code, and just paste it in.

I also click on User CP like a refresher (like pressing on home on Myspace) it will let you see if there are any replies to any forums you have responeded/subscribed to.

yeah i am new to this web but he has been down for 6 years and its a long story i was with him for 4 years then we broke up for 2 years and now that we said we are going to work it out but i been i have doing it for 4 year total not adding the 2 year i was not with him.

Well the only silly question is the one not asked.
At this time unfortunetly you just have to wait till the time gets closer. He should know which Corcoran that he is currently endorsed to though. This forum is for Corcoran State Prisin (also known as the old corcoran)

That's not a silly question. But it's hard to tell which one he'll end up at. We can narrow down the guess by what level he's going to. So, what level is he going to?

Well i am happy i feel so good i feel like i am doing better now.
This weekend was such a busy weekend, Saturday i took my daughter to Disneyland (we bought the annual pass no black out days) until 1:00 and then we went to a birthday(swimming) party the rest of the day. We must have been swimming for 4 hours.
Sunday went to breakfast with my sister and nieces, went to the IMAX theater and then went to her house for more swimming.
I am just happy keeping myself busy with my little girl.

Life doesn't have to stop just because they are not home with us. Of course i talked to my husband saturday and sunday. :)

Thank you very much... I want so badly to hate him for what he did but I just can't seem to do it!!

I think with this split maybe more ladies will come out of hiding and post more. I know for a fact i have seen many other women from corcoran on the boards but not posting in the Corcoran forum. Nice to hear from you.

Awwww, little one..... i LOVE my "new" name.... but as time goes by, i'm growing up..... i have like a little less than 4 months of being a teenager:( and where am i spending it? working, and waiting for my HUSBAND in prison... hilarious.... j/k kinda weird though.... BUT i LOVE my baby SO much that i wouldn't give up on the bestest relationship ever, to go out and be wild child:)

well my sweets and i are fine.... kinda... we got terminated the first week of june, for SIX months (can't go back until december).... there are some ridiculous liars working at CSATF (not ALL BUT most)!!!! But we're still holdin' on strong..... we've got to.....
