"You mean integration? The supreme court ruled that the CDCR can no longer assign housing based on race (except under certain limited circumstances). In July the CDCR will begin implementing a plan to integrate the yards. That means inmates will be forced to be housed with inmates of another race. It will likely cause some strife, especially in the beginning, but as time goes by there is hope that some of the race based violence on the yards may ease. We really won't know until we see it but folks are anxious about it.

I do not see this as a good thing. My man will not have another race besides hispanics in his cell. I know he is not the only one.

My cousin was sent to Arizona and he HATES it there. He's currently in the hole due to a riot that kicked off about a month ago. :mad:

My man is out of state, but it's not due to any racial merging or integration. He's happy, as of now, with his choice of requesting/volunteering for the transfer. He's been out of state since November '06, so almost 2 years.
