No e-mails but if you know that he is in that facility you can write him a letter there even if you don't have his inmate number.

Hi

My man is at RYOCF it is pretty cool. They only get 3 phone calls a week which is a blessing but also a down fall. My man has been there for 1 year. He hasnt had any problems at all. I can tell you if he goes there to watch his back for a couple of guards. They will act like they are his friend and they are not. Other than that the visiting room is small but nice they can walk around with you just cant handle any money. You can kiss and hug before and after the visit. He will like it over all except that he will get stripe searched after each visit which sucks. If you want any other information email I know alot about that place.

Good luck to you and him!:)

That place is a joke. They kept my lil bro in solitary for a year! All becuz of things he did not do. Some guards had it in for him I think. You have to just shut up & take all their abuse or they will punish you harshly. The system is f'd

The system is f'd in ways. BUT, the inmates are not there on a vacation. They do have to follow the rules and abide by authority. As soon as the whole authority/punishment/follow-the-rules issue is recognized by any particular inmate having difficulties, then everything will run smoother. It took my man a few years to come to terms with this (aging also factors into this). It's been over 3 years since my man has caught any ticket or been in trouble. You have to become 'institutionalized' and learn that you are now a 'dog' that has to obey orders and follow the rules, else you will literally be treated like a dog.

this place is messed up for sure i don't know how it has been for him at all bcuz i haven't been there i don't know how hars it must be for him. you ladies have all my best wishes for your family or boyfriends or fiances, whatever the case may be just remember it ain't helping you or them to get out sooner if your just sitting around doing nothing i know it will be hard but try to get out and not think about it

i think you are absolutely right they have obviously done something to have to serve but then again they don't deserve it bcuz they are sorry in many ways i'm sure. but the better there behavior is the faster the time will go by

I was in RYOCF for two years. it was from 2003-2005. hopefully your fiance doesn't have to do much time there. to start off its pretty locked down. you get 5 "dayrooms" and a rec. a day. your dayrooms are 45 mins. you have 4 counts a day. if i remeber right they are standing counts so he has to be outside his door when the door "pops" 6:15am,1130,4:15pm, and 9pm. you have to shower during your dayrooms. while on intake you only get two dayrooms a day. at least thats what it was when i went there. and intake is below south seg. so its going to be very loud. hard to sleep. guys be yelling in the vents all night. lots of fights when i was there. everybody wants to make a name for themself. he has educational options. i got two college certificates when i was there. Mircrocomputer specialist and Office application support specialist. both from Gateway Tech. the more school you do the more your out of your cell. it will b two people per cell and its locked down from 9pm til your dayroom. when your not in dayroom you will be in your cell.
the only people you can call are the people that are on your visiting list. you get 3 calls a week. 20 min calls. its all collect. gotta get prepaid to even get the calls.
visits are 3 hours long. and you can get 3 visits a week.
don't know what else to tell you. if you have any questions go ahead and ask.

sometime it takes 5 days but can take up to 30. its all up to how fast the social worker gets it done. they will have the inmate inform you
