Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know a bit about my self. I just finished 7 years in state and federal. I have a wife and several children. My youngest was eight months old when my time started. I got nailed for Counterfeiting, felon in possesion and several forgery charges. My time started in the Oregon state penn. They put me in the penn because of my pending federal charges, then when the feds grabbed me they concidered me a high risk and sent me to the middle of nowhere, 1,400 miles away in the hell hole at Florence. I spent several years there trying to explain to my little girl why she could not come visit her Daddy. The real reason is that we could not afford the trip. Smitty would not transfer me to Sheridan and eventually my fuse blew and I ended up in the hole for 8 months, allowed 1 - 15 minute call every week. Anyway, to make a long story shorter, I am now a free man. My first job was selling light bulbs, and I busted my ass (hating every minute). I kept working hard (and stayed clean), and am now the director af a decent company. I even started my own site to try and help people understand prison life, and am the owner/founder of prisonkids.com.
I have not reached as many people as this site has, but I hope that together we can make a difference. I am tired of prisoners being forgotten by society. We are people too. I would like to thank the owners of this site for a job well done, and if I can help anyone get through this ordeal, my wife and I are glad to help with advice.

Take care, and remember...
Everyone can change. Never loose faith.

Welcome to PTO!
And...welcome home!

Thats great you decided to do the same type of thing our founder here has done. He too served time...had the vision...and created this safe haven for us. In times we can consider the darker side....this group is a wonderful thing that brought us all together. I just hope that others..sitting around feeling like there is no one out there that understands...in time...finds us as well!

It is a site similar to this one, but only a couple weeks old. I hope to expand awareness as well, and help bring us all together.

Welcome home. Good luck with your site. You may want to go into detail, if possible, on your employment success as it is a rare thing for most of us.
