My son called me two mornings ago, there was a stabbing on the yard that morning.

It would have been Monday morning. He last called me on 6/23 at 10:52 am and he said it had happened that morning on the yard, and they had all been strip searched because of it and would probably go on lockdown.

The reason he said was it was some people taking care of their own people.

All of Norco is on Lockdown. It's been on lockdown since Monday and could last up to two weeks.

Have you heard anything about visiting?

Yeah, that bothered me too. I thought in this level 1 and 2 facility the incidents like this were rare. Luckily they are all alive.

My son said they are on modified program and hes not so sure that there is visiting this weekend, he says the notice they have says no visiting but its not so recent.

Well atleast you know he is ok... My man is like that too he wont tell his mom anything so she wont worry, but he tells me everything LOL and then i worry! I know about the politics it drives me insane!!

I was worried about my husband because I get letters every other day from him and wasn't sure why I didn't get any for 2 weeks now. I really have to get on this site more often. Is there a way to find out who the 3 ppl who got stabbed were...just so I'm not nervous about my hubby, I can't stand the streets and jail cells to much hatred and animosity.

Look on the envelope that he sends you when he writes, there should be a three digit number along with a bunk number the first number represents the facility. Ex 102/50L(Facility 1, Dorm 102, bunk 50 low).

My son just called again and said now some black guys got stabbed last night, earlier in the week it was Hispanics, he said there is no visiting for Blacks and Hispanics this weekend, so far they arent completely locked down but he thinks thats about to happen.

If they do go on lockdown it will probably last longer than last time cuz now they are definetely gonna investigate whats going on cuz 2 stabbings in one week.... something is up i hope it doesnt get worse...

I think they may have, my son was going to call back because his baby was napping and he never did. He must not be able to use the phone, he calls his son about4 times a day on the weekends.

He is in 201, he did just call me, he said they turned off the phones most of the day. They are still on modified program. Only two dorms at a time to eat, etc.

Does anybody know about the packages and lockdown, the website said the quarter they receive it is the quarter it counts for, my sons arrived last Wednesday but he hasnt been allowed to pick it up, he sees his name on the list, but because of all this mess, they wont let him go get it yet.

Will it count for next quarter if he gets it after Monday? I sure hope not, we really tried our best to get that to him this quarter. It sucks he knows its there but cant touch it!

It should still count for last quarter since it arrived at the prison on time. They don't allow any movement while on lockdown or even modified programming.

Are all the facilities still in lockdown? Of is it only facility in the 200's?

You generally won't get an answer at visiting until close to the end of the week. If you call Thursday they will tell you "as of right now things may be fine but they can't say what could occur in the next 24hrs".

It so ironic that the holiday fell on an actual visiting day so it throws things off. Those numbers initially scheduled for this Friday now have to share with everyone.
