Hi everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself since I'm new. I was trying to get some questions answered since my man just got locked up and stumbled across this wonderful site... Its comforting to know there is a online community where you can find support and answers to questions... My man is currently at Washington County Detention Ct. on the waiting list. Which he is hoping wont be for long, wants to be transferred as soon as possible. He has only been there a week now,so as Iv heard it could take awhile before that happens...This week has been sooo hard... and with only getting one 20min visit a week through a tv monitor is torture... If anyone has any helpful info on Washington Co. Detention Center or advice in general, please let me know, it would be highly appreciated..Thanks everyone...

Welcome! I think for me when he was in county was the hardest. It was nice having a short drive to see him but for only 15 mins behind glass sure didn't seem worth it. Once he gets moved it will be much easier. I love my 4 hr contact visits!! :D

Yes the lilttle visits they allow you do suck...One of the main reasons we are hoping it wont take long for the transferer...Do you know If all the facilities have 4 hour visits?..Im hoping so...Today I went up there for my 20min visit and set there an hour cause the power went off and the generators wouldnt work either so after telling us all to wait they came back saying they were cancelling visitation...and you have to schedual visits online but since I already schedualed one for the week it wont let me schedual another...:angry:Im sooo mad...Then after they told me friday I could bring his bible to him even though it had writting (I explained exactly what writting was in it to the officer)..she said it would be fine to bring it but the officer today wouldnt accept it cause it had writtting in it...like his name..who gave him the bible..and a scripture was hand written in there... Now he cant have it!!!!! They keep telling me diffrent things.

county is the hardest...at the time I didn't realize that bc I knew the almost 4 hour drive to Varner was going to be ridiculous and i wouldnt see him every week BUT the visits are well worth it and so much better. He's at benton work release now and the visits arent that great but we get by :D u have to face each other and are seperated by this LINE which is really absurd because they should be given a little more freedom since they are able to go out in the free world everday but whatever!!
time at washington county is okay. my man became a trustee because he was there so long. after his sentencing i think he was taken down after 3 months maybe a little sooner. the food will be better while they are in county but during visits they will get close to normal, good food.
i dont think they are four hour visits...for some reason i think they start at noon and are over at 3:30. now at work release they are four hours...i dont know...cant remember and it wasnt even that long ago
anyway hope he goes soon. there are guards at washington county that are nice and allowed some things so he will be fine just be glad he isnt sitting in benton county!! haha that would be awful!! gosh i went back and forth and answered things out of order...i'm sorry...its almost 3 am so i guess i have an excuse :)
