TV Review: In Plain Sight Written by Mel Odom
In Plain Sight is a USA Original series that just started up this summer.
Centered around the Department of Justice's Witness Security Program
(WitSec), the series promises emotional, comedic, and action-packed
tales of the men, women, and children put under federal protection in
exchange for their testimonies against hardened criminals who want them
dead.
Mary McCormack stars as Federal Marshal Mary Shannon, a down-to-earth,
no-nonsense agent who is caught between a stress-filled job and her
mother (Leslie Ann Warren) and sister (Nikki Hiltz), both of whom seem
intent on leeching off of her. She's supported in her crime-busting
work by her boss (Paul Ben-Victor) and fellow marshal Marshall Mann
(Fred Weller).
The premise is that every week Mary is going to confront some aspect of
witness protection that shows the real-life problems dealt with by these
federal agents.
