My son has been in Korea for almost 2 years now and started his 12 month sentence June 13, 2008. They sent him to Humohries since he has less than a year. I have no information, what can i send him? Where do I send it? His lawyer said that he would e-mail me an address when he had one and rules if he could get them. We have never ever had any experience in this type of situation. I work in the criminal justice system for good ness sake, but the Army and in Korea did it totally different and my being thousand of miles away i could do nothing but support him in calls and letters. I want to be able to continue that but i am scared because i have no information except that he is there. His 20th birthday is June 29th. I have even been thinking about getting some kind of job in Korea just so i could be close and visit him once in a while. How cruel can the Army be? This whole thing has been a nightmare, what started out small snow balled into .... into prison time. Anyone with any information will be appreciated, even just anyone who has been there and can tell me what it is like and what i can look forward to, what he can look forward to.

my son was held at Camp Humphries in 2005 for a few months, don't remember the number but I do know we sent him phone cards and that was all we were allowed to send him. We had to wait for him to contact us with the information on where to send it. Hopefully your son will be in contact with you soon.
Wish you all that best

He called me yesterday. I was never so releaved. It is almost like they go into this black hole that we have no way of getting to them and anything can happen in the black hole. I feel better now that he has told me a little about the place, it is small and most there are transferring. He will serve his whole sentence there since it was less than 12 months. Thank you for your answer, it is pretty much what he said too.
