I have a friend in the women's prison Chowchilla. I had planed to send her a money order, but was told that she will only receive 45% with 55% being applied toward restoration of court fees. I have been told there is a way to order story items on-line for a small service fee. Can anyone tell me if this is correct, and if so what the details are? Thanks

I think that you are talking about quarterly packages. You can order a lot of commissary items from them as well as other stuff. The prisoner would have to be in the priviledge group that can receive quarterly packages and they can only receive one quarterly package per quarter. You could call the prison she is at to see if she is in that priviledge group. You would want to talk to someone in R & R as they are the ones that should have all of that info about if she is in the right priviledge group. There are many approved vendors to send quarterly packages, but I use Access Securepak. Here is the link to their site:
