do you have to shave your face every single day? do you have to cut your head hair very short?

its just like being in the military. so you have to stay within regulations like you would normally. i guess most guys would have to shave every day(some might get away with every other day) and i think the hair has to be off the collar in the back and the sides above the ear? not for certain. but it can be shorter.

I was at the Fort Lewis RCF for 13 months and while there we were required to shave every day. Some inmates did have a shaving profile though. We were also required to receive haircuts once a week.

At USDB my husband gets his hair cut every two weeks...and he talks about shaving every 4 days or so when it starts to aggravate him. Not sure if there are regs, his hair is longer than it was when he was active duty.

I spent was at the USDB for quite a while. You are expected to maintain the same grooming standards as you had on active duty. You can be written up for it also. I wouldn't worry much about it though. Like everything else, focus on the positives and all the other stuff will pass by much easier.
