Hi All-
I just had to share this.. This past Saturday 11/15. I got a call from my Ricky saying I needed to be at his Mom's Tuesday 11/18 by 11:00 am. Of course I said I would be, but had absolutely no idea why.
I got there about 10:45, at exactly 11, the phone rang, his mom answered and It was Ricky. She then says to me why dont you go up stairs in my bedroom and use that phone up there (more private), so I went up stairs sat on her bed and picked up the phone. He says-now look on the bed. I turned around and there was a little box, along with a card, that he had sent from Oakdale. OMG- the little box contained the prettiest ring ever. Its a ruby with 2 diamonds on each side. He had been schemming with his mom and brother to get this for me, and I had absolutely no clue!!!
I was so thrilled (its a promise ring guys) and I couldnt believe that he got this accomplished from where he is.
He had not seen the ring, he just told his Brother (who is the one to go get it and pick it out) what he wanted.
When I opened the box, I about started crying, I wish he could of been here to give it to me, and he said the same thing as he about started crying too.
I did take a picture of the ring for him so he can see it, he should get those pics today. I am so happy guys--I love my Ricky!!!
Oh and for an update on where he is...he is still In Oakdale (classification) but he should be moved anytime now, he was there 4 weeks as of yesterday,and all his physicals and meetings are completed so anyday now I will be posting where he ends up. He thinks it will be either Anamosa, or John Bennett, but will see, I'll post as soon as I hear.
