i went to usps.com and for a 5oz letter the postage is 1.51 and a 4 oz is 1.34 i never new it was cheaper if you send more in a envelope lol im such a dummie... but i would still put 4 stamps just in case...

For regular notebook paper it is a .42 stamp for every 6 sheets, some you can do 7 sheets. Certain types of computer paper goes up to about 8 sheets. When I write my man and it is 7 or more sheets of notebook paper I put a .58 stamp on it. Why put two .42 stamps because then all you are doing is giving the PO more money. Or you can do a .42 cent stamp and a .17 cent stamp for the extra ounce.

Hey thanks for your quick and informative response (:
Yea, I think i'll add another stamp (or two lol)
I'd rather have the texas prison unit mailroom and mailman think I'm an idiot than not getting my letter to eric soon

Thanks! I appreciate it very much

That is a better idea...I didn't even know those stamps were sold haha
See, I don't go to a post office for stamps, cuz the convenience store across the street from me sells books of stamps, the 42 cent ones, so I just go with those
But that's good to know, thanks so much!

I don't go to the post office either, I buy them online.
