View Full Version : Son arrived at Norco last night from reception
imthemom 05-29-2008, 12:58 PM What do I need to know? Anything?
Who can I call regarding visiting info. When my son last checked it was still pending but its been two months, I would really like to go see him. Soon!!
He didn't know his address but was in dorm 205- does anybody know the mailing address. I have pictures of his son to send him, is its still only ten pictures at a time?
When in Rome 05-29-2008, 09:12 PM Hello...you can find info about the facility by visiting the link below...Um, I think that they only allow about 5 pictures per envelope because my bf always tells me to send them this way...or he is being paranoid.

SaNdiA 05-29-2008, 11:26 PM hey imthemom... im from long beach too :)
this is how i send out my letters to my man
first name, last name, inmate #
crc- dorm __/ bed #
P.O. Box 3535
Norco, CA 92860
if u need anything else let me know..
imthemom 05-30-2008, 12:17 AM I would think you could at least send ten pictures since you could send ten to reception and they are more lax in the mainline.
Hi Sandia,
How is the drive out there for visiting, do you go often? I guess I have to resend my visiting application, I dont know if mine was approved prior to his move, and cant get through to either facility.
SaNdiA 05-30-2008, 10:13 PM the drive up there isnt bad at all.. well not for me.
i takes me about 40-45 minutes
ive never really hit traffic in either direction
i used to go often but i dont have my own car so now i go every 4 wks.
i just came back from my visit today and it went really good.. :)

imthemom 06-25-2008, 10:40 PM to get a visiting pass approved here? I sent a new one as soon as he arrived down here.
Also what can I bring in for the baby? Where do I find a clear diaper bag? What do you use to bring in your things? Can I use a big ziploc?
Also we ordered him a package from Access SEcurepack that shipped on Monday, will it get there in time for this quarter?
Also the baby drinks from a sippy cup, not a bottle can I bring that if its clear? It doesnt mention it, but he cant drink from a regular cup.
I just noticed that the rules say minors cant visit if they are convicted of 273.5, I think thats what he was charged with. So he cant see his son? He has joint custody of him, I have those papers.
his1trueluv 06-26-2008, 12:54 AM as far as the baby supplies, a clear sippy cup is fine. also you can take a ziplock bag or any other clear bag.
SaNdiA 06-26-2008, 01:11 AM They let him know if u are approved. then he should tell you.
i just bring my son a bottle of milk and a clear EMPTY sippy cup and pour water or juice in it when i get in there.
i bring 3 diapers and a closed package of wipes
if thats what he was convicted with i would call and ask if the baby can visit just to be safe
if he can dont forget the babies birth certificate.
as far as the package goes, its still june so i would assume it counts for this quarter
imthemom 06-26-2008, 12:52 PM I just called and I guess his son wont be able to visit him, since he is there for a domestic violence charge. That really really sucks.

Sorry to hear that:(...
imthemom 06-26-2008, 01:30 PM double post sorry.
imthemom 06-26-2008, 01:49 PM Yeah if he killed a stranger he could visit him, or if he attacked somebody in the street, but fighting with the dumb bitch that doesnt even want the kid because she tried to put him in a car with a drunk driver means he cant see his son. That also means I cant see him without finding a babysitter, since I have the baby.
You would think they would want to preserve families not break them up, he never harmed his son or that dumb girl for that matter, she sure did play it up though, they were even looking at charging her for filing a false report at one time, but he sits there for trying to keep his son safe and thats the only person he wants to see, and he cant.
Well he just called again and he said thats only for family visits according to title 15- I dont know what to think, I think when my pass is approved, Im just going to take him and see what happens. Play dumb. I can understand the family visit restriction, since they are unsupervised and possibly in the room with the person they fight with. Hes going to ask his counselor too. I have his birth certificate and just paid for the girls ID so I can get a letter notarized. She has no problem with me taking him.

That really sucks! Well if you do decide to go hopefully they let you in, I would hate to drive up there just to be turned away:mad: but it doesnt hurt to try right?;)
MizzGomez 06-26-2008, 05:42 PM One more thing how long ago did you send the visiting form?? because my boyfriends grandparents got approved in 3 weeks but his mom we are still waiting on and its been almost 2 months and he is about to be released!
imthemom 06-26-2008, 06:05 PM He seems to think that according to Title 15 that only applies to family visits, which would make more sense. He said at the very least he should get non contact visits. He is going to talk to his counselor,he says there is a committee too to appeal non contact. I dont know, I just want him to see his son.

Its been about a month, I heard its pretty quick there too. Hopefully I will hear something soon. The babys mom doesnt have her copy of her ID yet, so we cant get a notarized letter till she does. I took her on Monday to get it so hopefully she will have it when the form is approved.
