View Full Version : Recent transfer to CSP-what to expect? sandra278 05-29-2008, 12:28 PM Hi, my friend's husbnad has been transfer to CSP, he's a level 3, any info will help, are they in lockdown often? please help:confused: Junior'sQueen 05-29-2008, 01:06 PM Hi Sandra. CSP1 doesn't lockdown too often. Depending on what yard depends on what visiting room you go to. What yard is he on? My man use to be on A yard and visiting room A was never crowded but more strict. A yard houses alot of Level 4 guys. My man is now on B yard and B visiting is pretty chill. Visiting for B & C get very crowded on Sat/Sunday and if you visit often, like every weekend, then your visit will be one of the first to be terminated. Friday visits are alot better. They get somewhat full, but not overly crowded and I have never been terminated on a Friday visit. Visiting days/hours are: Friday's from 12:30 (when they let you on the property) and ends 7:00pm. Sat/Sunday's are from 8:00am to 2:30pm. Again, letting you on the property at 8am, no earlier! If you need anything else, just ask, or PM me anytime. EDIT: P.S. Only one ring set can be worn, one set of earrings, No bellyrings, No nose rings, etc. AND you can wear flip flops, just no "shower shoes" like the guys wear, which are those all black, rubberie thin flip flops. Any others you can. kco350 06-12-2008, 07:08 PM For B yard at CSP, do you walk to the visiting or does a bus take you? Also is there usually a line on Fridays before 12:30? How long does it usually take you to get processed and in to the visiting room? Can you wear 1 watch and 1 bracelet? My first visit to CSP is tomorrow - thanks for any info Kay Junior'sQueen 06-12-2008, 07:42 PM For B yard at CSP, do you walk to the visiting or does a bus take you? Once you go through the gates, turn left, I'm sure you will see the signs. It is very close. Yes, there is usually a SHORT line to get in on Friday's. Processing has been actually pretty quick since there is new staff, which has been great!!! Let's say you are to get into Processing by 12:45 and turn in your form, you will probably be called no later than 1:15 max to get in. Yes, One ring set, on necklace, one Earring set, I forget about the watch, but I am sure you can. If not, they have lockers for 50 cents. You can wear strapless sandals & flip flops too!!!!! Love that. And their coin machine can change up to a 20 dollar bill. If you need anymore info, PM me anytime! Good Luck and ENJOY your Friday visit! kco350 06-13-2008, 12:26 AM thanks for the info - it was very helpful. Soneat 06-16-2008, 01:11 AM Dont wear red, blue, solid white T's. SexyCatsMeow 06-18-2008, 07:20 PM Hi my husband transferred there last June. He is level 4 though. Sometimes they do go on lockdown, the best advice i can give you is to tell your friend to call the visiting hotline at 1-800-374-8474 to get current lockdown status if any before she goes to visit. I call every time before I go down there. Although my husband is on level 4, the one thing I like about level 4 prisons is that each yard have their own visiting room unlike some of the other institutions with only one room for all the yards. Most times visiting doesnt get overcrowded mainly due to the fact that the hispanics ( the mexican gangs)are almost always on lockdown or have limited visiting. They also have Friday as a visiting day which I love, so sometimes I go down for 3 days. I hope this info helps. |
