Your loved one can get one from the legal library and have it notarized. About 2 years ago it was like 10.00 for a notary. I hope this helps.:)

No, there is not another way. If you want power of attorney the notary needs to sign it and you will have to pay double to get it done. Also, you can go online for California courts and print out the power of attorney forms.

Yes, you have to use the prison notary public, and yes it costs money. I'm pretty sure that it has to be taken from his books, however, call the prison legal department and ask if you can mail a M.O. directly to them to cover the cost.

hello i was in your same shoes and needed the power of attorny and he didnt have any money on his books what i did was i sent it directly to the litigation people. i made a money order and made it payable to them. it is only $10. just give them a call to get the direct address and they will let you do that! it takes awhile for the notary to see them but it works!! hope that helps you good luck
