I have a friend who is in VCCW and she did some time in the diversion program before she violated this time. In 2005 when I was incarcerated people were getting time credited to their sentences if they had done time in a residential program or alternative sentencing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can find out if she is owed any time to knock off her sentence? Thank you for your help.

i'm not 100% sure, but i would think callin DOC in Richmond would be a good place to start...they aren't the quickest there for computing time, but if it should be calculated in they will make sure it gets done, but they may need paperwork from the diversion center. GOOD LUCK

That would be the Courts & Legal Section of the DOC. Call them and ask your question.

Yes.....If your friend did detention and deversion on the original so called crime and now is still having time to do on the original crime as long as everything is related yes time comes off and so does all the jail time spent waiting to go to the programs..Doc is somewhat helpful but in jail still should ask for an update sheet for all time spent in jail...go from there...I have just finished with this or not quite finished....ask away I have a bunch of info about this
