Hi there... My mother will more than likely be going to FCI Pekin next month, and I am worried sick about how she is going to handle it. Can anyone tell me what to expect at this particular camp (self-surrendering, daily life, work, visitation, etc.) Any info that would give me a better understanding would help! David Novak has a manual on Pekin camp. It tells you alot of what you can expect. It takes away some of the fear. Not all. Sorry that you and your family are going through all this. I will be there for 15 months. I did a white collar crime. I don't know to much about going to prision. Never been in a jail or arrested before. But I do know the fear you are all feeling. i had an old pen pal that did time there and said it was ok... well as ok as prison can be .... if your mom is older she will be treated better then someone younger....
maybe buy her a book on yoga .....it will help with the stress..
