My B/F should be transferring from Kilby to St. Clair anytime now. Can anyone tell me what it's like there and what I can expect as far as phone calls, how often and how soon he might be able to call once he's there? Also anything about visitation...how long the visits are and how often.

hey....my fiancee has been at st clair for a while now. we have had our share of problems but overall its not too bad. my fiancee is in administrative segregation instead of population. so that will make alot of difference on how things are. i get a call every 3 days at the most. visitation goes pretty smooth. is ur bf n population?

Thanks for replying. My B/F isn't there yet... it's just where he is expected to go and should be leaving Kilby anytime, I guess. He has gone over his 90 days at Kilby and has been in Seg there the entire time. I have no idea if he will be in population or not once he's moved. I was told by Officials at Kilby that he has only been in Seg there due to his sentence. Why is you fiance' in Seg there? How long are your visits? I don't live near there so it would be quite the trip for me to go visit at all. :) Did you know your fiance' before he went in or did you meet him after he was in?

ur welcome :) my fiance is in administrative seg bc he and a guy got into it when he wuz in prison a few years ago. then, when he got sent to st clair that guy was already there in pop so he had to go to seg. at first, i hated that he wuz in there. but now i am very thankful!!! he has alot of time to reflect on his life, get closer to God, and think about what kind of life he wants when he is released. he is able to stay out of trouble in there. also, i saw in the newspaper a couple months back that an inmate set another inmate on fire in population!!!
we are able to visit the first thurs of every month from 8-11. i have to drive about 4 hours to get there. i knew him before he went in. we knew eachother as kids.... dated about 10 years ago....then i found him again last january (after all those years). so, i guess 3rd time is a charm:)
