I found some notepads, letter size, that have a beautiful cloud background and I chose that as "our paper" so every letter I write to him I write on this paper and I told him the first time I used it, that I use this paper to represent our dreams for the future. LOL I know, it's corny but I think he likes it.

I use hot pink pen but I've used many different colors too and before this paper I used whatever, so some were different colors. I don't think it's a problem, but if you are unsure, call the facility mail room and ask them... :) Good luck!

I'd be careful with stickers but colored ink and paper should be fine, I've never had a problem. I always write in hot pink or purple :-)

i always use both and its never been a problem...stickers i know are not allowed, at least in FL, and your mail will get sent back, but far as i know colorful stuff is ok! p.s. they love it, he says its nice to see some colors, after all it gets pretty bland in there...
