Aloha, Everyone: some of us will not have the time nor the resources to attend the 2004 International PTO Conference in Florida. Is there a way that those of us here in Hawaii (or at least on O'ahu) can get together? Perhaps do a potluck at the beach (Kailua is NICE) and get to know each other? I think that it would be a fun thing, and if we could coordinate this sometime during the conference in the mainland (mebbe hook up a teleconference thingie to participate for even a short part of the conference) that would be TERRIFIC.

How many Hawiian members do we have? If you all get something going, I may be able to schedule a flight out there on my brother's fiance's buddy plan.. Won't cost the regular crazy rate.. I'd love to see Hawaii and be at a PTO GTG out there! :)

Fed-X, with the way I know how you love water sports like you do, you'll have a GREAT TIME here in Hawaii! I know of Kaleileihua and another couple of women who come to this website regularly and I'm still trying to hook up with them. Our schedules have just been radical. Will keep you posted on a Hawaii Contingent PTO GTG. That would be absolutely FABULOUS to have the creator of this wonderful website over here in Hawaii.
Now, to find a way to increase PTO participation over here...

Hi MsAloha I think that's a good idea. Let me know what you want to do. If given a date early enough I can arrange my work schedule to be there. I have a couple friends that are regulars here and I'm sure they would love to be there as well. And looking forward to meeting you Fed-X. Let's check it out.

Let's figure on sometime between March 19-21, when the International Conference is happening. Do you have access to an IM device? PM me and let's set up a time that we can pick a date and decide how far we want to do this: picnic on the beach, or get a place where we can get teleconference facilities to be able to participate with our mainland counterparts for at least PART of the conference. As the time gets closer for International, perhaps they'll have an agenda that they can forward to us so that we can decide when we want to PIPE in.

These are just ideas to think about and we can get together or IM to discuss. Do you think others in the Hawaii contingent might be interested in participating?

Hey, did you hear about the possibility of the 2004 International Conference being available online? David did a survey a few weeks ago asking if people would be interested in financially supporting something like that and I said YEAH!!! So when we find out if it's a go let's plan a mini GTG with all of us of the Hawaii Contingent hooking up.
