I have heard that the warden at Solano, the deputy warden and a Lt., were escorted off prison grounds the other day in hand cuffs by the Marshalls. Does any one have any detailed information that they can share with the rest of us?? I know many of us want to know what happened and what brought all of this on.

Thanks much everyone.

I have not heard about the warden and deputy warden being escorted off prison grounds in handcuffs. However I did hear that a female LT. and her clerk were escorted in handcuffs about 3 weeks ago. They found them with 6 cell phones. I think they had to have been caught with other things besides phones. Being escorted in handcuffs is serious. I wonder if there is a number we can call to find out. I doubt it. The CDC will do whatever to cover up for it.

I've heard similar stories on other groups, but have no real info. The best info I have is that the warden was taken off grounds in cuffs for not giving up lifers' C-files to federal agents who were there to audit them regarding lifers who are WAY past their MEPD's for term to life sentences. Not sure I believe this though because why haven't other warden's been arrested for the same thing?

Inmates will start rumors though, so don't get pulled in by that. ;)

Unless the media (Vacaville Reporter maybe) covers it - we may never know.

My husband is usually good at knowing what's going on but he's taking all these rumors with a grain of salt. He finds it unlikely it could be kept secret. There are a lot of different versions to this rumor and no independent confirmation of any of it by a reputable news source. He's told me not to take any of it seriously unless there's some confirmation in the news. Solano seems to be a hotbed of gossip right now--some pieces may be based on some few facts but no one seems to know what, if anything is actually true.

I am just dying to know what went on there. I can't help wondering what changes may come about because of it. If it was the warden, what's next? They just underwent an entire restructuring not long ago.

There are so many variations on this rumor that I'm beginning to think it never happened. I'm beginning to think that the rumor about a female lieutenant being walked off for having a box of cell phones is not true either.

The media always covers this stuff - they've been contacted by inmate families and so far there is still nothing in the papers.

I'm thinking nothing happened, but I'll continue to monitor the Vacaville paper. ;)

I think you are right. My husband and I both believe there would have been something in the news by now if it were true.

If aliferzwife thinks nothing happened, that's good enough for me! I haven't know her to be wrong yet.

I'm not sure about the warden but I do know for a fact that the female LT. did get escorted out in handcuffs. I know her name and the name of her clerk. Six cell phones were found. It's not a rumor but a fact. Finding cell phones in a prison is not newsworthy. If it were it would be on the news every single day.

Well, here's the explanation straight from Warden Sisco's mouth. :D

His explanation was there was a special meeting in S.F. about inmates being supplied condoms (referred to like "PD?" protective device or something) and he and other staff were driven in a state car...that apparently set off the rumors they were "led off the grounds". He said the rumor was so far spread, even the Governor's office called to see what it was about.

And there you have it.
