If you have been in or to visit someone in CRC in Orient , Ohio please let me know what I can tell my husband to expect while there the first 7-8 days as well as the time to follow.

Please tell me about visits there...what the length is and arrangments for family not residing in Ohio as we are in New Mexico.

Tell me anything and everything....what I can send him , what he can purchase there and cost for available items.

When can he call and write or receive letters during the first 7-8 days?

I have a million questions and would love to hear from someone who has been there , has had someone there , and please give me as many tips as you can. Please....I will appreciate all available info.

Does it matter he has never been in any legal trouble before? Does anyone have info on how he can improve his chances for early release? Suggest the best programs he can enroll in there? And tell me when he will be able to enroll in programs?

He has a chance for Judicial release after 60 days there, but if that falls thru then does anyone know when the earliest time he can be released is?

Any advice on how he should interact with other inmates there..to keep himself safe? He will be one of the only hispanic inmates there!

Please help me help him and our families. Also are there any special visits for Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Well my boyfriend was in CRC in Orient OH for 3 weeks. That is the place where they send everyone while they determine where their "permanent" home will be. It ROTS and will be the hardest time he will do, they are not nice, they put inmates in with hard core vice versa (I think on purpose). A lot of stuff goes on, but it's short term from what I understand...he was in and out once done with all the assessments and is now at London, OH. As far as special priviliages I am from PA and wasn't allowed to visit until he was placed in London. The only "special" thing we get is an all day visit which consists of AM/PM 8:30-3:30 but I only get one visit per month. Hope this helps...welcome to PTO.

Oh yea, we weren't allowed to send him Money during his stay at CRC. We had to wait until London for that as well. No special visits there either, closed on Holidays. I remember that you CAN send him 3 self stamped envelopes (the kind with the postage stamp inked on it). YOu can buy at the post office for .45

If this is his first time for depending on the time he got, he might get to go to London too...
