It's very simple. First of all is he in Jail or Prison? If in Prison he sends you the paperwork to fill out and you simply read the Instructions and send all that they need back.
Good Luck!

I am currently engaged to a fine gentleman who is located at Milan FCI in Milan, Michigan. The procedure is as follows, I had to type and submit a letter of intent to marry and mail it to his unit manager. They require a copy of his birth certificate be on file because the institution has to apply for your marriage license you cannot do it yourself. There is a set of paper work that has to be completed which ask basic questions regarding your marrital status, your parents and location of your birth. This is for the marriage license. You also have to submit the name and credentials of your clergy that will perform the marriage, the institution does not provide anyone. Through other inmates wives I received the name of a minister who charges $150 to conduct the ceremony. I believe I am going to utitlize my own pastor for free. After he undergoes a psychological evalution, the unit manager forwards the request to marry to the warden who either approves or denies the request. Once the request is approved you may give a date to the unit manager, it has to be on a non visiting day. And you wait, I have had cold feet twice so wish me luck that I will go all the way this time. Best wishes.
