How early do we need to get to Ventress to visit with our son?
I have heard that the lines are long and slow moving.

Well i leave my house at 4am and I only stay 45mins away, but I also want to be the first in line. First in line gets their WHOLE five hours. On our visit days, its always alot of people there, but with me being the first on there I see when everyone else arrive. People usually start rolling in btw 6 and 630 really hard on our days... But you'll probably have to go and just judge it for yourself to see... Those lines do get pretty long and the guards only let 5 cars in at a time. Thats nothing when you have a total of 105 cars waiting...And they let you start lining up at 730, and you can't go on the premises until then.. Lines form at the entrance or the end of the hill by the Ventress sign... I've posted all the visitation dates for 2008 in another thread call New Visitation Dates for 2008... Hope this helps....

Thank you, I found out today that we can visit Sat. as planned. We plan on going closer Friday afternoon. We are 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. We don't want to be late our first visit...haven't seen our son since early June.
