I GOT LOCKED UP AT THE TENDER AGE OF 16 AND SERVED 6 1/2YRS AND I WAS IN ABOUT 10 DIFFERANT JAILS SO I CAN GIVE HELP ON THE THOUHGTS OF THE PERSON ON THE INSIDE. I was wondering what Downstate is like, anythig you can tell me would be helpful, I know what visiting is like, i was wondering what cadre is all about.

IT'S BAD THEY WAKE YOU UP REALLY EARLY TO HAVE YOU JUST SIT THERE AND WAIT TO GO TO CHOW.YOU CAN ONLY WEAR STATE ISSUED CLOTHING AND ABOUT THIS TIME IT'S FREZZING.

CADRE IS IF YOU STAY IN THE PRISON YOU'LL BE WORKING IN THE MESSHALL AND OF COURSE YOU GET TREATED BETTER THEN THE INMATES THAT ARE WAITING TO GO TO ANOTHER JAIL.

ONLY ABOUT 2 WEEKS THEN I GOT SENT TO THE JAIL THAT I WOULD STAY IN FOR AWHILE.

IT CHANGED ME BUT THEN AGAIN I WAS YOUNG THEREFOR EASILY INFLUINCED.
WELL I DID 6 1/2 YRS AND NOW I'VE BEEN HOME OVER 2 YRS.I'MWORKING HAVE ACAR AND MY OWN PLACE. I WOULD SAY IT CHANGED MY FRAME OF THINKING.

THE FACT REMAINS SOMEONE CAN ONLY BE CHANGED IF THEY WANT TO CHANGE.

AHEARNA NO I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT MID-ORANGE,NEVER DONE ASACT OR WORK RELEASE. I DID TAKE ART AND YES I HAVE EXPERIENCE GOING BEFORE THE BOARD I ACTUALLY GOT HIT AT MY FIRST BOARD AND MADE THE SECOND ONE.

Congrats on making the 2nd board, I'm sure you know how lucky you are.

My husband too went in at 17 and now it is 20 years later and 3 boards.

HE MUST BE SERVING AMUCH BIGGER SENTANCE THEN ME. WELL I WISH BOTH OF YOU THE STRENGTH TO CARRY ON AND KEEP YOUR FAITH HE'LL GET OUT!
