my husband is serving 60 months in the federal system. he has been gone for over 5 months and we have not been able to see esch other. the bop web site states that immed family members are placed on the inmates visiting list and all others have to sumit to a background check. i have been denied visitation with him because i had a pending felony case. the facility reason was they wanted a final disposition on my case before they would reconsider me for visitation.. on june 25th i plead guilty to 5th degree posse i recieved 3 yrs probation 5 days sts and when probation is complete the charge will allow my criminal record to remain clean.. i supplied the final disposition directly to the warden and 1 month later i was denied because "i did not meet min sec requirements" i am able to walk the streets but not able to walk into a secured facility to visit my husband i cant understand this logic.. 5 months have went by and our 3yr old son has not seen his father. he has filed an appeal 2 times and staff has retailated back at him both times. first time with segregation for 2 1/2 months and only able to call home 3 times and now they want to put him in seg and take away hime phone for 6 months.. help does anyone know what i can do to visit my husband but stop them from punishing him for excersing him rights.. does the bop have any regulations they have to follow????
