Just found out my penpal at Hutch went into the hole?

I wonder if he can send and receive mail, watch TV, etc? What are conditions like?

The ticket doesn't show up yet: all he said in his last letter was he was getting into trouble for staying in the shower too long. That doesn't sound like grounds for going to the hole. He probably mouthed off.

Can he have visits at all, behind glass??

Hello chintath.........he can get and send mail...no TV , no visits. I think they are pretty much locked down for 23 hours at a time. It is hard time for sure. Reading , sleeping , and eating is about all there is to do.
Hope he gets out soon!

I am also wondering if he can get email and shop. His birthday is coming up soon and his girlfriend and I want to send him something. Hope he can at least buy coffee and stamps.

Sorry , but they can't get email. You can send a money order and put it on his account. But , you will need a Department of Corrections deposit slip. He should be able to send you one.

About the only thing he can use while in the hole are the stamps. I think they can only make coffee when they get back to their cell...........

Yea , like I said , it is some hard time. I am pretty sure that they can't buy any snacks. But I will ask when I go to visit this weekend and let you know for sure............
