I think every South African, and African is waiting with baited breath to see what is going down in Zimbabwe.

Mugabe refuses to step down after the election, and refuses to disclose the results. Huge shipments of arms are being deployed there and they wanted to offload arms via Durban, SA and transport them by road to Zimbabwe. We refused. Zimbabwians are being slaughtered by Mugabe and his regime. He is killing his own people for voting against him. The US and UN have asked the African Nations to step in. This includes South Africa.

We have fears of a war here. We really do. Mugabe has been been in power for 28 years, and the Zimbabwians are starving. They are being displaced and they are being killed. Their inflation rate is over 1000%.

Please pray for Africa. There is so much going on here.

Thanks

Keltria

Zimbabwe is in my prayers. As I watched our president barely speak on it today... I felt in my heart to ask the question if in some ways history is repeating itself. When I was born Zimbabwe (rhodesia) was at war. Thousands were dying and the request for the US and the UN to step in was being requested. I pray that at this time... peace comes.

The other African nations have to step in and help here. There's no other solution. There's no place for the US here, none at all, it's absolutely nothing to do with them, but the UN could help, as long as the armies were drawn from African countries, and the US could help by putting pressure on the UN.

I feel it's a problem caused by my own country and our colonial ways but we are unable to influence Mugabe. It's far too late to plead with this man and we know that elections will always be rigged as long as he is there.

South Africa in particular could do so much to influence Zimbabwe but is refusing to do so. Let's hope common sense will prevail and the change in leadership in SA will help those suffering under Mugabe.

I'm unable to pray for any reasons but my thoughts are always with the repressed and Zimbabwe has been given a lot of my attention for many years.
