If you are able and interested in contributing to the 2008 PTO Fund Raiser we are providing several different ways to do so.


If you want to contribute via a Credit Card or PayPal account:
The fastest way to contribute is by using a Credit Card or Paypal account via our online donation system. The Pro's for this is it is simple and gets here fast. The Con is they take somewhere around 3% on our end to use their service. This isn't all that big a deal and most people prefer this method.

We prefer that you utilize the new PTO Donation System to process this so that the system will instantly have and list your information as a PTO contributor. To make a donation via this system, please click this link: http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/awc_ds.php?do=donation (OR) you can click on the "Donate" link located up in the PTO Navigation Bar at the top of the forums, then select "Donate Now".

IF for some reason you are unable to use the above system, you can donate directly via PayPal to our account: donate08@prisontalk.com . BUT, please notate what your user name is so we can manually add you into our system!


If you want to contribute by Check, Money Order, etc:
If you prefer to send payment through the mail, please be sure and include additional information so that we can attribute your contribution to you.

Please make the contribution payable to: PrisonTalk.com

Also include either on the payment or on a seperate piece of paper your User Name so that we may manually enter you into the donation system and recognize you for your assistance in supporting PTO.

If you are writing a check, PLEASE make sure funds will be available for at least 2 weeks so nobody ends up with an Insufficient Funds charge.


Anonymous Donations
If for any reason you would like your donation to be anonymous, or just the amount, please specify this if you are mailing in a payment.

If you are contributing via our Donation System, there are options that allow you to select whether or not you want your contribution to be completely anonymous, or just the amount.

Yes, I believe the system will allow for multiple donations.

As for a time range, well, that is a good question! I forgot all about that, but since we haven't setup any State competitions or anything else at this point, it didn't come to mind. Looks like it is time to start a new thread on that topic!

Thanks. The reason I asked is I am broke at the moment and couldn't donate much this time and will want to add to it.

Also, if the fund raiser goes on for a minute (couple months or whatever), people could actually donate each payday. LOL - do you offer payroll deduction? :D

I just tried it this way and it won't let me choose to pay with credit card.....only PayPal.

You have to click on the 'Checkout with Paypal" and the next screen gives you the option of using PayPal or Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AmEx.

For those of us who had to go direct to Paypal to pay (it wouldn't let me do it through the site) - will we get some kind of verification that you received it?

If you used PayPal, you can go to your account there and check on activity. It should show you sent money and to whom. ;)

IF this is the way you have done it, please PM me about it with PAID MANUALLY in the title, so I can add you to the system.

There's a yes or no box for "disclose amount." Where is the amount disclosed if we choose yes?

There's a list of donors in the drop down menu under Donation on the menu bar at the top of the page.

If you click on the "Donation" link at the top Navigation Bar, there should be a link to "Donation List". The amount will be listed there, I believe.

I don't have credit card, so can I use my debit card issued from Hong kong bank? Or, do you accept money order issued from HK bank??

I sent a money order 2 weeks ago just wondering if they got it or not? Texas seems so far away from us in Washington

I tried to make a donation but I could not get past the "payment" type Screen. I mouse over the selections (not paypal) and I tried clicking; Visa, MC and Bank. Nothing seemed to work.

Is that avenue of payment donation not available anymore? :confused:

Not sure where to post this, but I thought I made a "monthly" donation to PTO through Paypal, but it isn't showing up. took me several attempts to get through and thought it was done, but guess not. Paypal shows no record of any activity on my account. That's weird. Will try again, or maybe just send a check every month. Very frustrating.
