Hm..Can you wear capris if they go below the knee? Just wondering. I also wanted to wear my sperries with socks (duh) Do those count? and I just bought a racerback bra. It doesn't have any underwire, but it is supportive. The adjustable part of the straps and the clasp is plastic. Is this ok? or do I just need to stick to a sports bra?

When you go in Draper, the rules are on the wall, right next to the door.
I always wear regular tennis shoes and a t-shirt. I am pretty sure capris are ok.
I ALWAYS carry 3 extra sets of clothes with me JUST IN CASE they don't like the "color" of my shirt or something........You are right unfortunately African American people can pretty much wear whatever they want, and get in...this saddens me and it is unfair.I saw several occasions a man walk in to the visitation wearing extremely baggy shirt and shorts that were hanging under his bottom.....
It clearly says on the rules that you can't wear ANY baggy clothing whatsoever....
Oh well.....just my two cents :)

Thanks!!! Yea that is a good idea. I'll just stick to my tennis shoes and a t-shirt. but what about the bra? I was gonna wear my sperries and capris and t-shirt and bring another pair of jeans, my sports bra, another pair of socks (just in case), my tennis shoes, and like three t-shirts. i just wasn't sure if a sports bra was enough support, of course I don't have very much to work with anyway.

Good idea to triple your options! I didn't really read the rules on the wall because they rushed us out after I got denied! haha Yea, I saw a big black girl with a hot pink sweatsuit with a white wife beater on. Doesn't it say you can't wear white?!!! and she was also very well endowed if you know what I mean. She was hangin out all over the place!

I always wear a wire bra,I don't think it matters,as long as youre not without one...
I've noticed that as long as you stay "humble" and call all the CO's ma'am,sir-------> they usually won't give you a hard time....and oh,every single facility I've ever visited I have noticed that if you don't backtalk the CO's and respect their authority, even if you had some trouble with them the next time you see them they've always been nice to me...
I know that it's very hard to understand the rules and regulations (especially, when they seem to "change" all the time) but fighting against the system is like banging you're head against a concrete wall...:(

Oh, one thing I should mention is that some of the CO's associate the wife, girlfriend etc, to the inmate, for instance; " Mr. X is the one with the bitchy wife,so we'll just treat Mr.X real hateful, 'cause the wife was disrespecting us!"

So you better watch your words...I learned this the hard way....
