Thanks Tereasa Fed-X 08-12-2002, 10:45 AM This is something I actually don't know about first hand, but we have a number of members that seem to be on top of this. I'll see if I can run a couple down for you and anyone else that might want one. Tereasa88 08-12-2002, 01:30 PM Thanks very much! Tereasa:D jdswifey02 08-12-2002, 03:42 PM OK.... I will try to explain this.... I had to go back and look at it again.... I managed to figure it out once.... just know it is hard for me to explain how to do things like this.... :) To get a countdown (ie: to when your loved one comes home, to the next parole hearing, etc.)..... 1. Go to the website www.escati.com.... Scroll down and under the heading "website tools" there is a link that says "clock, date".... Click on that!! 2. Once you get to that page... scroll down to the one that says "countdown by escati".... There will be an "html code" listed on the page.... highlight it starting where it says "begin countdown code" and ending with "end countdown code"..... Copy that.... (once you have it highlighted by using your mouse... right click on your mouse to copy).... 3. Go to the PTO website... (it is best to do this in another window, because you will have to refer back to the little notes on the escati page about what you will need to adjust in the code to have it counting down to the date and time you want...) 4. Go to the "user control panel" (along the top at PTO)... then click on "edit profile"... 5. On your profile, there is a section called "signature"... you want to paste the html code you just copied in the lil' textbox there.... (once your cursor is in the box, either hit "Cntrl+V" or right click the mouse to click "paste").... 6. You will need to change a few things within that code in order to be counting down to the date and the time you want and to have the heading you want... just follow the directions on the escati website.... OK... that is it..... Sorry if I have either not explained it well enough OR have insulted someone's intelligence by stating what may be obvious to some (I know it isn't obvious to everyone).... Feel free to PM me if you have problems..... :) But understand I am NO computer guru!!! Other counter-posessing people... feel free to clarify!! :) Good luck getting yours up and running Tereasa!! B-Ray 08-12-2002, 05:38 PM If you open the link in a new window to start with, you will have both that site and PTO running at the same time and will allow jumping back and forth as needed.
