View Full Version : Has Anyone Heard of This - Expensive Medical Care? 15Years(Maybe) 04-15-2008, 01:18 PM A prisoner being released because of how expensive their medical care is? UBO 04-15-2008, 04:14 PM A prisoner being released because of how expensive their medical care is? Yep. But rarely in ADC. I usually hear of inmates who get poor medical care. But if for some reason they do get the proper medical care, well DOC doesn't want it coming out of the budget so I am sure if they are anywhere near release and not considered a danger to society, out they go. This is actually common in the county jails. I have seen it many times in my nursing career. sandtrob 04-15-2008, 10:16 PM Really? I wonder what constitutes severe enough for them to do that on the state level? Not that my guy's problems are severe enough to give me any hope. rustys 05-14-2008, 06:42 AM Are there any Prison's letting Inmate's go to HWH or HC early? Hear there might be some in Arkansas. Dekat's Mom Behind the Walls 09-25-2008, 10:26 PM I have seen a lot of guys whose health was so bad and there was no way they could commit another crime but there was no way they would release them. Daryl Hill who once was on Death Row who passed away on his own had tons of medical bills, the state paid for the amputation of his legs and he also had heart problems. I could not even begin to tell you how much they spent trying to keep him alive just so they could execute him. He was one of the inmates that was I belive on Death Row the longest. Thank God he toke him and let him die without the State executeing him. He was a dear man he had been locked up for killing a Game Warden I think in the late sixties and when he died ne donated alot of money to Tucker Max to help build a chapel for the inmates. |
