Now lately every time I try to post a reply to a thread, it says I do not have a permission or I need to refresh and login. Then I lose what I had typed and then I try that and it still does not work. So why am I not able to respond to threads all of a sudden. I could before they started doing upgrades.

I've been having the same problem for several days. I'm adding this to my post: this time I went to advanced post and didn't have a problem. I don't understand it.

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, restart browser and try again.

If that doesn't help, what browser are you using?
