Apparently they're new :D I got a notice the other day that i got positive 'rep' and ended up looking around to find out what the heck it is- if you click on the scales to the right/top of a post you can give positive or negative reputation.

if you click where it says 'thanks' towards the bottom of the post it will send the person a notice that you liked what they posted.

The rep thing is kind of cheesy, but it was fun to get a 'good' rep, just a way to make someone smile-

the thanks thing I think rocks- sometimes you just want to say 'i agree' or 'thanks' without typing out an off topic response..

have you been using the new features?

I've used it a few times to say thanks to someone!

I think it's an awesome idea for us to let people know when they post something helpful! And ya know what? This is one of those times.:D

In the beginning, I thought it was a great idea, but lately I've started to realize that some people are just hitting "thanks" for like almost every post they read. It's almost like a contest with a few people. "I'll hit thanks for all of your posts, and you hit thanks for all of mine!"
This one girl on the new Jersey forum has thanked over 1,000 people! I think it is losing it's meaning, and it's just turning into a contest with some posters to see who can get the most thanks!

Don't you have to have 25 post before you can enter the chat room? Does saying 'thank you' or 'welcome' count as a post? I'm still very very new @ this. thanks!

sorry robbysmom but thanks and reps do not count as a post. Look on the bright side though. before you know it you will be past the two week 25 post requirement. By the way. I also have a son named robbie and even though the names are spelled differently I got a lil teary eyed just seeing the name. (sighs) I miss my son

I thank people when I like what they're saying but don't feel like quoting them to just say thanks. But sometimes when I try to thank people I get an error message saying i'm not authorized to do that action or something like that. It only comes up sometimes I don't understand why and other times it works and lets me thank people.

I thank people when I like what they're saying but don't feel like quoting them to just say thanks. Thats pretty much what I do:o...definitely when im agreeing with them.

For some...i think they thank everybody who posts in their thread:confused:
