Not for a very long time. Maybe never. Depending on when the ban will be lifted, but that can take years. Due to the trial etc etc. So sux for us Victorians.

MIO, rumour has it, that if people in VIC are caught downloading it, then they may be prosecuted... Any insight on that?? It all seems pretty harsh to me.

As with most internet related things, they would really have to draw attention to themselves by doing something in order to get caught. There is no practical way they could police the mere downloading of it - well, there is, but it's financially unfeasible. :P
A friend of mine got a nice letter from his ISP the other week politely suggesting that the downloading of copyrighted material from bittorrent was against their terms of service, and could lead to prosecution. :P This wasn't about Underbelly, but the facility is there if they want to go about policing it.
I just don't see it happening, and can't find any record of such a thing.
