Does anyone know why they would move someone from Limestone to St. Clair? He's currently at Kilby after being pulled out of bed at Limestone. He hasn't been in any trouble and he is a level 4. What does this mean? Is St. Clair worse than Limestone? Will he be able to go right into the honor dorm since he came out of the honor dorm at Limestone...Please help me understand what is happening here.

OK. Is he in a regular dorm at St. Clair? Had he applied for or been recommended for any substance abuse treatment programs? If you can tell me which dorm he's in or fill in the blanks on the second question, I can probably answer this.

The other possibility is that Limestone is just way overcrowded, I hear, and St. Clair is probably one of the less crowded facilities right now, so that may be why too.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. He is still in Kilby awaiting transfer. He was told my someone that they saw a list showing he was going to clay county jail. Does that make any sense to you? Why would he go back to a jail vs. prison. Ugh, I so confused and he is totally stressed. Yesterday someone shredded his blanket for no reason and when he asked for a new one, they just said "you have one". Kilby is a madhouse from what I hear. Please help me understand.

The only reason I can think of that he might get sent back to a county jail is if he has another charge pending that has to be processed? Otherwise no, it doesn't make any sense to me.

If he had gone to St. Clair (and had been in any substance abuse treatment programs), my initial assumption would have been they were sending him there for the more intensive program they have there. But since he's not been sent there, I guess not.

In any case, keep us posted. I have a suspicion that thing about the county jail is a mistake or misread (and the prison rumor mill runs rampant all the time and often with incorrect information, so that's no surprise really).
