My husband was on parole, got picked up for a blue warrant (parole violation), and was caught with drugs on him. He is in the Harris County Jail and goes to court on April 10th. He is addicted to crack cocaine and has been for several years now, I have been trying desperately to get help from the numerous parole officers that he has gone through in the last couple of years with no luck. He has even tested positive on a number of parole visits and still all they have done is sent him to classes that are for 1 hour, once a week. Now he is back in jail and I am hoping that there is some kind of rehab program that he can be put into? His family and I are trying to find a lawyer that can possibly help with getting him treatment, even if he has to do time, as long as there is some kind of treatment that comes with it. If anyone out there knows of a program or even a good lawyer who can help, we are desperate to get him help.

Welcome - Getting rehab programs in Tx is not easy. The info for tdcj is:
Madeline Ortiz

P. O. Box 99
Huntsville, TX 77340
(936) 437-2180
Fax Number: (936) 437-6299
If he is in county, unfortunately they will tell you that they can't do anything. You should definitely talk to a lawyer. good luck

My son was in a program called Peden in Harris county. It's located downtown in the Peden building. It's a 3 to 6 month program. I also know of a 6 - 9 month program called SAFE-P that's in Atascocita.

Try that out. I don't know if it's in Harris County. Only thing is, it's a two year program.
