I started a new post cuz I'm trying to make the other oen disappear :)

I got white tips with a silver sparkle line under it, I luv gettin may nails done, can't wait for summer, so I can wear sandles and get a pedi :)

cute. my guy sometimes does that to mine when I get white tips. I love summer but can't wear shorts unless I loose a few !!! my own vanity I guess. getting my nails done every 2 wks is about the only thing I do for me. my sister once said why spend that on nails, think what you could save. but hey, I don't go buying clothes, shoes, what have you. this is for me and it makes me feel good. sometimes I think about a pedi but I am so sensative under feet that don't think I could do it. :eek:
been going to the same guy for over 8 yrs. he is vietnamese and we figured he was a little boy when my hubby was over there during the war.

D'gal, I can't stand anyone messing around with my feet either. I have sweaty feet, my dad once told me, even when I was a baby and my feet felt cold, they were still sweaty. How embarassing to throw 'em up in someones face. They don't stink, but they do sweat! I thrash my own feet at home, but love to see pedi's on others. I curl my toes up every time I see a lovely pedi!

A few Christmas back, my oldest son and his wife gave me a trip to get hair done, facial, pedicure and massage in Richmond. I wasn't too sure this country girl could handle all that pampering but they said I would love it and Helga, a large Swedish girl did a terrific massage. Well.........haircut made me look 10 years younger, facial felt soooo good, loved the pedicure and then they gave me a robe and told me to strip down to panties for the massage. I wasn't too sure about that, (I was raised Mennonite) but decided to go ahead. Well, Helga was on vacation so I got my massage done by ChucK. :eek: Son and his wife just about died laughing when I came home with the story, but hubby wasn't too happy. :D

MotherJ, it sounds to me like you were scammed. Everyone wants a Swedish massage by a real Swede. They baited and switched you with Chuck! Helga probably doesn't exist. What a hoot! My hubby would not have been a happy camper either, had I come home telling tales of Chuck giving me a massage, but I can see how your son and wife could laugh at it. I am!!!

I can’t even touch the bottom of my feet. My natural reaction to someone else doing it is to kick them. :blush: A doc once did a reflex test and got out a pen. He said he was going to run it up the sole of my foot. I told him that I would probably kick him in the face.....He made me cross my legs. I love how my nails looked the few times they have been done. I type so much and have to have them short so I can’t ever get them done.:(

When we were 1st married my then husband thought he would get to me by tickling my feet - didn't work. I found out that this ole chick that can walk barefoot on rocks likes to have her feet massaged.

I'm very sensitive about my feet. I think they are ugly but my mom says they are cute, I guess it's my own insecurities...

I bought sandals to go see Kong, and i'm wondering if I should get my toes and my fingernails done by a professional , or if I should just try to do them myself.

Can you tell i'm excited. LOL I can't wait to see his smiling face. :D

gosh...thats sounds like a lot of fun...its been so long since I pampered myself. My feet are another story...course Im on the dark side of my 40's - so my feet arent so pretty anymore - I dont think I could have anyone mess with them for fear of grossing them out :eek:

I would love to go for the massage, facial and new "do" tho. My hair is kinda my "thing". Its grown for so long but its heavy - real thick and wavy and has a tendency to give me headaches and is just a handful to take care of. I have been seriously considering some kind of a make over. Oh...so hard tho...I panic when one comes at me with scissors....:p

Autumn, if your own mom tells you your feet are cute, by all means they are cute. Moms are so critical of their daughters. Get that pedi done and sport some cute toenails for his Kongishness!

Its gettin warm here, spring is on its way, I boguht a new pair of flops for the sumerr hahaha hey, they guarantee to make your legs looks good hahaha shoes that exercise your legs, okay, I'm gonna see if this works hahaha Fitflops, ohmygosh, what a name, so I gonna be boppin around in fitflops and french tipped toes haha what a site. D'gal, I didn't even realize they still made Dr. Scholl's. The last time I bought them, they weren't even for me. I have identical twin stepdaughters, that have legs like race horses. Very tall, very beautiful, but they would trip over nothing. They were with us at the time. From the age of six to nine, I made them get out of their uniform school shoes, straight to the good dr's. It made a difference, they would still stumble at times, but had the strength to collect themselves before crumbling to the ground. Those long tan legs we all wish we had, didn't just come about by accident. They used to beg to go barefoot after school, but they thank me to this day. They are now 5'9 and 5'10, at the age of 16 going on 17 in May, and are model material, true Doublemint twins, but without the strength from the good Dr. they would still be tripping over a knot in the carpet!

Mother J..... you cracked me up. I go up to Berkely Springs quite often for the "works". Massage, facial etc..... I sit up there in the mountains drinking water that George Washington use to bath in. True.

So.... I am on the "dark" side of 40. I just turned 48. While I am up in NY, grandbaby left for the day. I turned on TV. I have never bought anything from HSN. A few days after I get home my purchase arrives. A beautiful turquoise trench coat. Ya'll first must know.... I only wear turquoise or some form of it. Any hoo..... I decided I wanted to splash it up a bit. I went and bought hot pink purse , pink scarf and hot pink high high heels.


Well ladies.... I aint 20 anymore. You should have seen my poor feet. I ended up getting a pedicure as they hurt so much.... you quess it Hot pink nail polish. How bold am I my toes are always Turquoise.
I can barely walk in these shoes..... but I feel like a million bucks.

Jill,me too, just turned 48. I always thought, anything goes in the name of fashion. Try moving to a Mexican city for 6 and a half years that had cobblestone streets! When we moved to this city, all the ladies are wearing high heels, even to the grocery store. I'm so out of practice! I look at their pedi's and shoes and my feet ache. I can do it for a night on the town, but we have to leave early!

I have had foot probs in past. had to stop wearing anything over inch heel. mostly flats. thongs. (flipflops). no back shoes . need to have a slng back at least. I started wearing flipflops again occassional.

Wendy, I've been painting my toenails and fingernails to try and get use to the polish. I haven't worn nail polish before so this is all new to me. I want to go and get a pedi done, we will see how the money issue goes. My son told me, Mommy you look so much like a girl. LOL ..I said umm baby I am a girl. ;) I've never wanted to be so girlish before, it must be love :D I am so excited to see my Kongo. My mom is usually tells me the truth about things so i'll believe her on my feet. LOL I'm actually starting to like them.

Hi Hon, I'm so excited to see him. I think i'm driving Perque crazy with all my questions, but I think we have most of the trip worked out in our minds. We are taking my car since it has less miles on it. I've kinda started a count down, but for some reason the last few days i've been pretty down..feeling distant and very emotional. I'm trying to get use to Dylan being gone for 2 months this summer at his dads house..i'm going to have a real hard time putting him on that plane..and waving goodbye to him. Tears come to my eyes just thinking about it. I'm trying to concentrate on plans for my visit with Kong so i'm not so sensitive and worried about Dylan. Dylan will be flying out June 22nd and Perque and I will be leaving on the 26th. I'm probably going to be an emotional wreck when I see Kong and I told him to get ready for me to cry when I see him, he told me it's ok baby..i'm here to hold you up, as long as I get me a good kiss. LOL

We haven't decided where we are staying yet, i've been buggin her everyday and I don't want to drive her insane. LOL We are slowly getting there on figuring out everything. I'm not sure if I want to stay at the blue mist, we are sharing a room so we have to decide what is the best option.
Dyl is a lot better about me going to see Kong without him, because I promised him we would go see him together a lil while after he gets back from his visit to Kansas with his dad.

I'll have to talk to Perque to find out where she would like to meet you. I know we are both going to want to rest on Friday night once we get there so we will see. I'm sorry I never called when I was feeling so down, I just wasn't good company. All I wanted to do was lay in bed and cry, one of those days that we all seem to have.

I'm really excited about seeing Kong, now that I know that i'm going to see him I miss him that much more. My heart aches to finally get to touch him and hold him close. It seems so far away when we go to see him but once it's here i'm sure i'm going to panick because it's here already. LOL
