Ok, I haven't done many domestic flights in the US, just plenty of international flights to and from the US.
My question to those who are experienced in flying domestic.... is half an hour to 45 minutes enough to board a connecting flight? I'm flying Toronto, Canada to Milwaukee to Grand Rapids and only have half an hour to board the GR flight. Is it enough?
I will already have had US passport/border control in Canada before I enter the US so that will not be a problem. And as far as I know I can check in the luggage all the way from Toronto to Grand Rapids.

Rox,
The only issue i would be concerned about is the fact that flights are NEVER on time, so if your flight from toronto is delayed, you may be screwed getting out of milwaukee on time. They can usually put you on a later flight, but its a pain, and you have to worry about your luggage. If I was you, Id find a flight with at least an hour to catch your connection. Trust me, I fly once a month and I can only think of 2 times where my flight was actually on time. Also, you have to BOARD a half hour before flight time, so i really dont think you will have the time to do it. Hope this helps.
You have to clear customs when arriving from Toronto. Half an hour aint gonna cut it. And you are probably looking at the departure time and they close the door a few minutes before that. If at all possible, try to look for a better connection or speak with the airline who you are departing Grand Rapids with.

What it's a domestic fly? I´ve never hear that.
In travel, the term domestic flight is the continental USA (the states that are "connected" to each other).

Check with your airline carrier to see what a "legal" connecting time is. By legal I don't mean against the law LOL. You can also check the on-time record for the route you are taking.

No ma'am. You have to check in one hour ahead for domestic flights. Even if you have an electronic boarding pass, you will have to stand in line to get a hard copy to present at the gate. There is no way you will be able to do that and board the plane in 45 minutes or even an hour.
