I am very new to this thread stuff so i may not even be able to check any info you may give me, I sure hope so!!:mad: :) I have a friend that i haven't seen in 12years to only find out he is in prison. At JB Evans. Anyway, I would like to know if anyone knows how to find out when the men will come back to Alabama? And how to find out exactly what to do for visitation stuff, I have NEVER visited anyone before in prison, I just don't know how to go about it! rules and regulations, I don't want to drive a state and a half away and find out i can't see him. I do understand there is a list, and i must get approved 1st, but just in case he leaves something out. Plz.Thanks

There is no telling when the men will be brought back to alabama...write to your friend and tell him you want to visit. He will have to put you on a visitation list and get you approved. he will have to have your full name, address, date of birth, and social security number to get you approved.

If you were not on his list from the state where he was transfered from, you will not be approved by L.A. They do cannot appove new visitors they can only allow those already appoved by their porspective state; although they have them fill out visitation forms when they come in. The trick is if you weren't on the list in their jacket then you will not be approved to visit; L.A. is only a holding facility for different states. J.B. doen't check visitors names to the inmates AIS# when you go in you only sign in on a visitation log, so you will be able to see your loved one as long as you have a driver's license. If they are from Alabama have them to put you on their visitation list when they return to Alabama. There isn't any word on when they will be back as a whole because as they send some back other's leave out. The Limestone facility isn't complete just yet although they were to be done in March. The word now is late April or early May but no one will know until the job is complete and all of our loved one's are back. Need more info you can PM me.
