grasshopper 11-07-2003, 10:30 PM i just told mine i am thinking of getting about 10 inches cut off since i need a more professional look. He was really bummed, he loves long hair. But he isn't the one taking care of it and trying to go job hunting. But if he were here to snarl it up sometimes it might be worth keeping, lol.
Jacks_Tracy 11-07-2003, 11:37 PM I cut 12 inches off a few years ago. jack wasn't happy to hear about it, but when he saw it he liked it. Who knows - maybe he'll love the new look!

toi_ama 11-10-2003, 08:02 AM I quit cutting, coloring or perming my hair years ago, but did cut it up to just ear length when my late husband died three years ago. (I didn't cut it when my monitor died, though, Donna. LOL Just a private joke here.) It was past my waist at the time. Now I'm letting it grow out again and it's about halfway to my waist at this point. For me, it's a Native American thing partly, but it's also just that I figure "why not?" I have (had) very dark hair and now it's all full of silver streaks that are about the color of sterling silver, so it looks pretty cool this way. Most men absolutely love long hair and they don't care how hard it is to care for or how bored we get with seeing it ourselves or how out of sync we may feel when it's not in style. And they certainly don't agree if we say we don't think it looks good on us.
Donna, you're a doll. You made my day this morning in that PM.
worleysgirl 11-10-2003, 07:52 PM I cut 4 inches off of my hair just a month ago. Ronnie was scared to say the least about what it would look like...of course I didn't help matters, I teased and told him it was almost as short as his (marine cut). He hates short hair on women. When he saw it he had this look of fear on his face, and kind of cringed you know like he was afraid of what was coming....I laughed SO hard. But he really likes it. He said that he didn't think he would ever like short hair on a woman especially one he is in a relationship with, but he loved it. It was the topic of conversation for at least a week. It has grown out some since I cut it and he is asking me when I'm cutting it again. I told him I might let it grow back out, and he looked kind of disappointed. Funny how men think huh?
toi_ama 11-10-2003, 07:54 PM I'm seriously thinking of getting mine cut to a length that requires less care. I need the boost of a makeover, I think, right about now.
shiva65 11-11-2003, 04:41 AM Hey Toi.. you had me smiling too, thanks for your understanding of my (true im a blonde)>. haha how s that monitor.. that story was the hightlite of the day at; work.. everyone was laughing.. and saying oh my gosh Donna "are you crazy:.. ?? and i just smile and say yeah..
oh too funny!! i am so relieved you have a good sense of humor.. boy what a screw up!!
So ya getting the hair cut colored permed or what ever can be quite a feat in it self.. our man just want the same as they went in.. i guess.. long hair
but my personality.. when i;m pms i want to cut it all off. i get bored.. etc..
TOI amo i am glad your back.. from grieving over the monitor talk soon
Take Care

Emilios heart 11-12-2003, 07:51 AM I'm thinking of coloring my hair darker. I'm a blonde too, but as I'm getting older its getting darker. I haven't done it yet.
toi_ama 11-12-2003, 07:58 AM Well, Donna, when you sent me that email, I read it before I had my coffee, so I was searching my mind for the source of my need for condolences. It was a very strange experience to be trying to remember who I was grieving. LOL In a flash, I felt like I had Alzheimers or something because I didn't feel the least bit sad. Then a little brain flash said "Oh, she must have thought she was pm'ing someone else." Then I read the second one and understood it was just my monitor you were referring to.
This monitor seems to be in glowing good health, so far.
For those who don't know, Donna sent me a condolence PM. She had read the post I made about my monitor dying without her glasses and she thought I had lost a family member. So she said something like "go ahead and grieve, we're here for you". Then in a second PM, she told me that she was so sorry---that she didn't have her glasses on the first time she read my post. LOL
