Hey ladies... Just thought I would let you know that Kendall and I had our first counseling class today and on the 27th of December, we will be married.
I had wanted to wait until February, but they don't get you a choice, so this is my early Christmas present....
Thought I would share it with you all....
Kim Loves Kendall..............Forever:wave:

Thanks for the offer ldysirois, but I am usually wore out, by the time visitation is over, I do a paper route at 3 am then a full time 8-5 job and 2 kids (11) & (13) that play basketball.
We are also buying our first house, so I will be moving this month, so my plate is full.....but you only live once.
Thanks again, Kim
Congradulations on your upcoming wedding. I would love to hear more about the procedure you went through and how long it all took.

Well, once we decided that we were going to get married.
Kendall went to his counselor and filled out his request, then sent me one to fill out, I had to fill out that I knew what he was charged with and how long his sentence was. Once that was back in, then the chaplain informed Kendall about the counsiling sessions, 6-2 hrs. long. If you miss one, you have to wait until next quarter, and start over. From what I gather, they only do marriages once a quarter, so you really don't get to choose, one your paper work is in, then you start everything. The chaplain said that he would have to have money on his books for his blood test, transport fee to the court house and the license, about $100.00
He also said that we would have to be at the court house on the 27th at 8 a.m. and wait until they got there, they won't give us an exact time, DOC policy, and once we get the license, we will go back to DCCC, and get married.
There is one other couple with us, so I guess he will marry us at the same time. He did say that we would be able to bring in a disposable camera, if it hadn't been opened. And he will tell us more as we go along.
I will keep you posted weekly, as I learn more.

Congrats !!!!!!
I know of 1 other couple that got married at DCCC and if I remember right, you could BRING one couple as guests for your wedding. They do not have to be on his visiting list. Now I may be wrong or the policy could have changed.
Best Wishes in Life and Love.
