hi. Jeff and I have been doing sooo good, we just got his fines paid off and his PO started the paperwork for his release from the system. He works, or did until Wed.afternoon in the field of construction, He was driving the company truck, which was nothing unusual. His boss knew of it, Jef has to sign it in and out. Well, today, his boss reported it as stolen, knowing Jeff had it. Jeff had to take a co-worker home who was intoxicated on the job. He got him home after a few "hours" of baby sitting him(which his boss was also aware of), And upon leaving this guys residence, the police pulled up behind my husband, arrested him for Grand Larceny and Public Intox, neither of which he was guilty. He is in regional jail now, awaiting trial,. He doies have a witness than can testify on his behalf. I am very scared for him....and me. He is in violation of his probation. This is the first trouble since his release 2 years ago. I had a stroke and unable to work, or do much for myself, Jeff was my care taker as well. I am so afraid or him. What are the chances of them going easy on him? I really LOVE this man, he is my everything. Since moving to Virginia. We have no family here, or not much in the way of friends. I am very aloneandvery scared:(

Oh, Linda! Can't his boss explain, and revoke the charges? If he did, then probably his PO would not have to do anything.

Peace, hon.

So sorry to hear the bad news! Hope it all works itself out for the good. I currently know someone who went to Georgia from Michigan and he is being held in custody they have previously threatened him with sending him back here to Michigan. A couple of weeks ago they wanted him to sign extradicting papers to send him back here, but he refused to sign them, so not sure what will happen next, but I do know he is still locked up down there.

thamk you, ladoes! Ok, the x boss is trying to have the charges dropped today, but the State of Virginia may take them uo anyway. The Pub. intox is changed to Use of Vulgarity in public be hubby said WTF when he was told of the charges. We have several people to tesify in Js behalf if it goes that far. We are also thinking about filing against his old boss, for filing false charges. This could land my hubby back in prison, which is totally wrong.

That sucks! Around here, I doubt the GTA charge would stick, even if the boss wanted it to. The "public vulgarity" thing... California simply doesn't have so I am out of that game. Good luck, chances are his home PO isn't going to want to justify the cost to extradite him on what sounds like a "drunk in public" charge.

How did this all pan out? I pray that he is back home and in a NEW job!

The charge of Grand Larceny was dismissed. J was fined 25.00 plus court costs( 106.00 total) for vulgar language. The office manager, who filed the charge upon bosses request, is now in jail himself for embezzling nearly 30,000.00 from the company, and "the boss" is floating on losing his company for cutting corners at the construction site. J is back with this company, driving the same work truck (at least until he if off of probation, which should be in the next 6 months). His po did not violate him, she knew the charges were trumped up, but she held off on filing his early release, out of obligation. She said she would restart the filing in Sept. As soon as he is off prob. we are going to be looking to relocate. We are cosidering a civil suit for filing a false report.the lost wages, time, and the grief this has caused us. J has done extremely well, getting back into sociiety, and making far better changes in his liife. He has learned from, his mistakes, its sad to think that all it takes to set someone back, is a phone call and false filings.

I am so glad that things worked out for y'all. When I read your first post I was thinking omg.....how can this happen? God works in mysterious ways sometimes and he has a plan for all of us. I suspect that this experience is just a small piece of that plan.

Glad to read all went well.. just one question, why would you trust the same company and go back to driving the same truck that he got in trouble with? I would run fast from the company especially if the company is under investigation for other things..if the company goes under, its a great possibility that the employees will be pulled into it..

We do not trust this company, J has been looking around for work. We live in a very rural area( pop. 600) up in the blue ridge mtns, and work here is almost non existant. We're unable to move from the area just yet bc of probation, but he is scheduled to be off of that the first of the year at which time we are planning to move out of this area. We just have to hang in there and do the best we can in the mean time.

I am glad everything turned out oK, but wTF that must of been hard on you guys to go through all of it. I hope everything works out and you guys move to a much better place where you don't have to deal with this BS. Good luck

Thanks to all of you for your well wishes. Yes, it was a night mare for a while, and now I feel like we are walking on egg shells until he can get off probation so that we will be able to relocate. in the meantime, we watch our backs:o
