Hi Hon!! First off, WELCOME TO PTO!! I'm glad you found us. You'll find LOTS of advice and support around here!! My fiance has been at Easterling for about a year and a half. Yes, you can have a call sent to your cell phone. The DOC changed over to Global Tel-Link about 6 or 8 months ago. Before then, I couldn't get calls to my cell. I'm sure it could be done...I just didn't have it set up that way. When they changed over, I was able to re-open the prepay account with Global Tel that I had when R was in county!! I use a debit card and you can apply $25 or $50 each time. There is an application fee that's automatically deducted. For $25 it's about $4.75. They may also do checks by phone or something like that but, I'm not sure. Give them a call and see what they can tell you about getting your phone set up. Now, the main thing is, your dad has to have your cell # on his call list!! If it's not...he can't call you!! So, make sure he gets your # approved before you go and open the account, okay!! GOOD LUCK WITH IT, SWEETIE!!! Let us know how it goes!!
The customer service # for GTL is 866-230-7761.
The # for the pre-pay acct. (to add money to account or check balance, etc.) is 800-483-8314.
Like I said, I add 25 bucks each time and I always get 4, sometimes 5, full calls for that amount. It depends on when he calls and what the difference is in charges!
Again, WELCOME TO PTO & the ALABAMA/EASTERLING FORUM!! I look forward to chatting with ya!! Good luck with the phone calls!!
